Rahim Ayew is currently without a club following his departure from Asante Kotoko in November, but the midfielder remains active as he prepares for the next phase of his career.
The 26-year-old opted not to extend his stay with Kotoko after the expiration of his one-year contract, choosing instead to explore new opportunities. Although he initially indicated that he was reviewing multiple offers from different clubs, he remains unattached four months later.
In the meantime, Ayew has joined Nania FC, the second-tier club owned by his father, Abedi Pelé, where he is training and participating in friendly matches to maintain his fitness and sharpness.
The former SK Lierse player has emphasized that his current focus is on staying match-ready while carefully evaluating options abroad.
“I am staying with Nania this season to strengthen my fitness and keep in shape,” he shared. “I am in talks with clubs in foreign leagues, and I am hopeful for the best outcome. I want to make the right move, not rush into a decision.”
He also confirmed that he is close to returning fully to competitive action with the team after resuming training.
Ayew’s approach reflects patience and strategic planning, as he continues to position himself for the next opportunity in his professional journey.
